Day care centers around ITPL - Bangalore

I am merely searching for a good day care centre for my daughter who has turned just one year old. Me and my wife are both working and cannot afford to leave the job in this rising inflation. We had not received our good annual hikes too, averaging 4-5% when the inflation has gone upto 7-8% and may go even more. Crossing our fingers, what to do next; Whether we should stay in Bangalore or go and settle down in some village, living a peaceful life with not a posh life. But a lively life around farms and amidst nature. Things have turned completely different after my daughter's entry. Our priorities have changed. Only priority now is our baby. We dont take proper food, adjust a lot, but take sufficient care of our baby.

All else apart, the purpose of this post. There are very few day care center's around ITPL.

1. Apple Kids - Prashant layout, near O-Farm. Fee seems to be nominal, 2000 to 3000. Kids under age 18 months not admitted.

2. WeCare - the most expensive, and not for the janta (i cant afford). Fee of 8000 per month. Registration fee of 1000. Annual Fee of 24000. Total it comes to 1,12,000. Of which 12000 is discount. Sucks!!! More than an engineering college fee. Yet, very posh, professional.

3. Teddies - near to ITPL, the place looks too deserted and the road to it shows the real face of Bangalore. The lady Sindhu has no experience, just had quit her job and trying to make money in day care. Admits even 3 months old baby. The location is not good. Fee Rs.6000-7000.

4. Samskrithi - Montessori. Admits kids of 1 year and 9 months only as its a regular play shcool. Fee of 2000. Could not remember the phone number, but just diagonally opposite to Apple Kids(Prashant Layout).

I heard there are few more in Whitefield, yet to explore. Finally we are left with zero option for my daughter.

Applekids - Good+ISO certified+transportation available but only above 1.5 years,
WeCare - Good, Posh, Good Location, very close to ITPL (should be very useful for people working in ITPL and nearby companies) Cons: very expensive
Teddies - inexperienced+bad location+expensive,
Samskriti - only above 1.9 years. Nominal fee.

  • This should be a well thought about decision with a good amount of homework to be done prior to enrolling your baby/child in any day care school. I was not very happy enrolling my 18 month old baby in the mentioned posh school. What we realised was the staff was not consistent and hence the settling time for the baby was long and very difficult. Though it appeared to be clean & hygiene , the baby was falling sick every month. I don't expect a completely germ free environment, but guess it is a problem shutting our babies in an air conditioned environment with no fresh air. Maintaining a happy staff is the biggest challenge any day care would face. If the staff is happy , our babies are also happy, this is what I learnt from my experience. Also another problem I noticed was the # of children getting enrolled was high compared to the staff getting admitted.
    Hence what experience taught me is don't just go with the posh or international looks of the center, get feedback from parents, may be your baby would need more personalised attention which a smaller day care can provide. This is just one side of it.

    I have studied about parenting, the different behaviour at different ages, imbibing good habits and simultaneously let go some, just to give a space for individuality.

    I wonder how mothers leave their child to a daycare which is actually a preschool till afternoon...I mean how can u have a educational environment provided to them in amidst of their childhood years. Comeon they are just below 5 years...they dont deserve to be hammered by what other kids are learning, they deserve a home.   • You must have tried Vydehi Day Care (V-Kids). This is inside the campus of Vydehi Hospitals and Schools. We sent our daughter when she was 1 year 8 months old. Now she is 3 years old. They will provide the meals and they make sure the hygiene conditions. There are lots of activities for the children. The principal of the school (Day Care is the part of the school) is easily accessible if you have any concerns.

  • Hi,
    There is another day care opened within SJR I park opp. Satya Sai Hospital. Its called Childhood Cuddle and Care.
    They have experienced and very courteous staff. they handle infants from the age of 4 months to children of 12 yrs. Very flexible timings from 8 am to 9 pm. really helps out mothers like me who work into late hours.
    Have been having a good experience with them with my 1.5 yr old child.

  • Tiny town is worst preschool in Whitefields Bangalore ..very high fees 8500 and admission fee 25000. Fees come to other part . The kids who eat food on their own they will eat food. Others they leave away. If we ask them they say that ur child is not listening while we are calling him or her. . I don't understand they are 10 old or. 2 years old. No staff one day we see full staff is present other day no staff at all. And the teachers are very sick and il literarate .lots of child discrimination too.. So parents plz don't join ur kids there. And the parents who send their kids plz check it out . Don't encorge them.

  • Below is my personal experience with this daycare
    Child hood Daycare manager Liya and her assistant Mani is a rot in this daycare and not fit for running this facility. Liya and Mani are the biggest liars and not fulfil any promise which Liya makes to parents. She trains her staff how to hide things from parents. She shouts so loudly that kids are scared of her. Mani shows her scary eyes and pushes children . One of the staff members always keep an eye on the door specially for infant parents. I was always sceptical about hygiene of this daycare and their potty cleaning of babies. I have seen that since staff in infant area is less, they are always so much occupied and not able to handle infants. Even if Liya tells that she has kept a separate lady for potty washing of infants but I and other parents have seen the same lady feed infants and sometimes the care taker will clean potty with wipes and with the same hands will change clothes. Liya cooks up stories and tells different stories to different parents . In last 15 days many infants have got infection which has caused them so much pain , even my son had big blisters on his legs and diaper area . As per Liya it was foot mouth disease which came from Vaidyehi school but my doctor confirmed that it is not that disease and some infection which has been caused by unhygiene.. She organises so many photo shoot activities to do publicity of her daycare but in this process, nobody sees how an infant is suffering. Even if infant is crying, nobody pays attention and everbody is busy in giving the best poses .If any parents try to complaint , she or he will be asked by Liya to take the child from daycare and all the negativities will be spread among other parents that particular parents is jealous of their child.Even if CCTV is promised , nothing is there and any parents cant prove anything because LIya has done masters and lots of experience in being a liar. There are many more things to write but I am stopping here only.So please keep an eye if your kid is there

  • It’s a nice informative article. Playschools should serve the purpose of exploring, learning, having fun and happiness and making enriching relationships. As you said Schools should have a beautiful and playful environment for the kids and all the above conditions but other things also come of importance. One of such is end-to-end activity based curriculum which helps all student’s development beyond the books and taking care of their attributes to academic needs with personalize attention is needed and it’s a must.
    So, the Best Playschool is needed for the overall development of a child.

    I am sharing my experience with Tiny Miracle Daycare and Preschool. This Daycare is behind Euro school in Chiru residency. The owner name is Lavanya Chandra.
    Very very bad daycare. It's my request, please don't put your child in this preschool or daycare. They are very money minded people with 0 facilities. I have put my child in their daycare on their request. Lavanya was following me for the last 6 months, to try her daycare. Unfortunately, I did that. All her commitments were false. She is just behind money. She is playing with the emotions of innocent parents. The bathrooms in a daycare are very dirty. Please, it's my request to all the parents, there are much better options available nearby. Look for them. Leave your kid with a maid but not with Lavanya. She is not a right lady for your child care and future.

  • This is the review for Tiny Miracles School, Chiru Residency Daycare, Near Graphite India. http://tiny-miracles.business.site/. Two fraud ladies - Lavanya Chandra and Shalu Chawla, running this place. I must say worst preschool and daycare, I have ever seen. The Owner Lavanya Chandra - 9611061193, is such a money minded lady. While taking money, she says YES for everything. But, after money - no promise, Zero facility. She is even not available to meet after that. She did the same to me. She forced me to get my child enrolled into her daycare. I paid the money everything. After that she disappeared, and a new lady by the name Shalu Chawla – 7795323601, took her place. Lavanya introduced her as a Principal of Tiny Miracles. She is even more money minded than Lavanya. She fool people by saying I am doctor – Cosmetic Surgeon, I am from USA, Lavanya was my client, and she requested me to join the daycare as a principle. I have lot of money, I am doing this because I like this work, etc. etc… But let me tell you guys the horrible experience. This Lady SHALU CHAWLA – Cosmetic surgeon, have no manners to talk. After just 20 days I decided to change my kid’s daycare, and this lady called me “BITCH”. I can’t believe that a lady, who calls herself a doctor by profession and principal by passion can use this kind of foul language. I don’t understand, what kind of lady is this. Even I have the recording of this conversation, there is no option to post the recording here, if anybody wants, I can share that. They both are big frauds, fooling innocent parents for money and ruining the future of innocent kids. What kind of education will they provide to a child? They need to get educated first… Please please parents, don’t put your children at least in this preschool or daycare. These ladies will ruin your child’s life.

    I have the same experience. This Pre-school / Daycare is Fraud. Both the ladies are fraud and looting parents. They ask 25000 - 50000 fees, and no commitments, no education. We all should gather and register a complaint about these ladies and their school. I remember, Shalu called me and my husband for a meeting as well and tried to lure us with sweet talks, But very soon, we realized that she is just making fool. Even this lady by the name Shalu, used same words to us, that she is a surgeon from USA. But, she is a big fraud. Beware of these two fraud women. They are just a black spot on humanity and parenthood. Shalu and Lavanya should be ashamed of what they are doing. Let's make a forum here and register the complaint. This Tiny Miracles School is situated in a residential area in Whitefield. Let their society people know, what they are doing.
