The Wayback Machine

How about time travelling back and finding how the website looked ?

Google caches in every page it crawls and it stores the pages in its powerful huge huge storage servers. But as the new webpages are visited only the new pages are cached overwriting the old ones. The wayback machine goes one step ahead google in storing webpages. It caches every page it visited since its inception. While it crawls, the webpages are cached and stored if it has changed in some way.

A google search for wayback machine would list a lot of references. And this link is the prime.

Type in your favorite webpage in the "Enter the web address" text field and the Internet archive or the wayback machine will list a lot of archives (if any). Click here to see google's archive. The first archive of google. A lot of things have changed in google page, except its simplicity.
